Magnesium Sulphate is an inorganic salt which is used for increasing magnesium or sulfur content of soil in the agricultural industry. It is generally applied to potted plants and for crops with magnesium deficiency. This compound has molecular formula MgSO4 with a molar mass of 120.366 in anhydrous form. It is an odorless compound which appears as white crystalline solid and has a density of 2.66 g/cm3. In breweries, Magnesium Sulphate is utilized as brewing salt and as a coagulant during the preparation of tofu. It also serves as a bronchodilator in severe exacerbations of asthma after anticholinergic agents & beta-agonist are tried.
